    An outdoor gallery in the historic district featuring 22 historical photographs from the Worthington Historical Society archive that picture Worthington throughout its almost 250 year existence.The exhibition runs May through October as part of Ohio's America 250 celebrations through a partnership between the Worthington Historical Society and Experience Worthington.

    The exhibition features original themed artwork alongside books and an expansive photo collage spanning America's history from Pre-Columbus days to present. The artist presents their perspective on significant historical figures and moments, inviting visitors to reflect on their own selections.A dedicated Lincoln section includes a large 3-D art piece that is based upon the Lincoln Memorial.

  • The Families That Built Akron

    On display in the Dining Room of the Stan Hywet Manor House, The Families That Built Akron explores the stories of the people whose lives, work, and traditions helped shape Akron. Created in honor of America's 250th anniversary and Akron's bicentennial, the exhibit traces Akron's evolution from canal town to industrial powerhouse through the families who built homes, businesses, communities, and lasting legacies here. From early settlers to recent arrivals, this special exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the people who shaped the city and the ways each of us helps shape our communities today.

  • July StoryWalk – “The Flag We Love”

    The StoryWalk at Goshen Park is changed out every month. The July StoryWalk will feature the book 'The Flag We Love' by Pam Muñoz Ryan. Meet Kelly on Tuesday, June 30 at 6:00 PM to enjoy the story. If unable to attend then, the StoryWalk will be available all month.

  • Printing the Declaration of Independence at CTPM

  • Red, White & BOOM! Columbus | The Midwest’s Largest Fireworks Festival

    Celebrate Independence Day weekend at Red, White & BOOM!, the Midwest's largest fireworks festival and one of Ohio's most beloved summer traditions. Drawing more than 400,000 visitors each year, this iconic Columbus celebration brings together families, friends, and visitors from across the region for a full day of patriotic festivities.Activities include a community parade, street festival, food vendors, family-friendly activities, and live musical entertainment. Fireworks begin at approximately 10:00 p.m. and last around 25 minutes. The event footprint spans 2.5 square miles including Bicentennial Park, Genoa Park, the Arena District, and riverfront areas.   • “Meet the Patriots” at Granville’s Old Colony Burying Ground on July 3rd

    Old Colony Burying Ground 300 S Main St, Granville, OH, US

    Granville's historic cemetery contains graves of 23 American Revolution veterans—the third-largest collection in Ohio. On July 3rd, members of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), costumed in period military attire, will portray 11 veterans and recount their wartime experiences at headstones throughout the grounds.Five re-enactors will be accompanied by Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) members portraying their spouses in historical dress. The event features children's activities, patriotic merchandise, and photo opportunities with a George Washington portrayal. Self-guided tours with maps are available.Rain date: July 5th. Starting Memorial Day weekend, headstones are decorated with patriotic bows and identification tags through July 4th.
