    An outdoor gallery in the historic district featuring 22 historical photographs from the Worthington Historical Society archive that picture Worthington throughout its almost 250 year existence.The exhibition runs May through October as part of Ohio's America 250 celebrations through a partnership between the Worthington Historical Society and Experience Worthington.

    The exhibition features original themed artwork alongside books and an expansive photo collage spanning America's history from Pre-Columbus days to present. The artist presents their perspective on significant historical figures and moments, inviting visitors to reflect on their own selections.A dedicated Lincoln section includes a large 3-D art piece that is based upon the Lincoln Memorial.

  • The Families That Built Akron

    On display in the Dining Room of the Stan Hywet Manor House, The Families That Built Akron explores the stories of the people whose lives, work, and traditions helped shape Akron. Created in honor of America's 250th anniversary and Akron's bicentennial, the exhibit traces Akron's evolution from canal town to industrial powerhouse through the families who built homes, businesses, communities, and lasting legacies here. From early settlers to recent arrivals, this special exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the people who shaped the city and the ways each of us helps shape our communities today.

    Join us for a walk and discussion through Cahoon Park. Stephanie West leads a foraging walk that highlights what pioneers endured and what they had to search for in the early days of Dover Township.This is a walking tour; be sure to wear appropriate shoes and clothing.The event is free to the public.

  • Ada Patriotic Pops Concert

    Ada Exempted Village Schools 725 West North Avenue, Ada, OH, US

    The Lima Symphony Orchestra will perform patriotic selections, show tunes, and "Hang On Sloopy," along with an Armed Forces Salute honoring military service members.The 90-minute concert features an intermission and takes place outdoors on the school's east lawn. Attendees should bring lawn chairs. If weather becomes problematic, the event will relocate indoors to Ada High School's gymnasium.Food trucks will be available on-site. The event is offered at no cost to the public.

    Join in on the celebration of America250 with a unique and joyful introduction to the world of music for young children.The program provides a captivating and enriching exploration of music designed specifically for young children. Participants will use rhymes, boomwhackers, rhythm sticks, and egg shakers to create beautiful (or chaotic) harmonies and play along to popular patriotic songs in this America250-themed special edition.

    The StoryWalk at Goshen Park is changed out every month. The July StoryWalk will feature the book 'The Flag We Love' by Pam Muñoz Ryan. Meet Kelly on Tuesday, June 30 at 6:00 PM to enjoy the story. If unable to attend then, the StoryWalk will be available all month.

  • Celebrate America 250 With the 122nd Army National Band

    A complimentary concert celebrating America's 250th anniversary, featuring the 122nd Army National Guard Band. The program includes patriotic compositions and traditional American music performed outdoors under evening skies.Attendees are encouraged to bring seating and invite family and friends. The City of Powell and Johnson's Real Ice Cream will provide complimentary root beer floats while available.

  • Printing the Declaration of Independence at CTPM

    Upon arrival, guests will hear a presentation about the signers of the Declaration of Independence, then print their own copy on a wooden press as a keepsake, plus experience additional printing activities.

  • Hometown Heroes: Celebrating Ohio’s Famous Figures

    Participants will discover stories of remarkable Ohioans, including the Olympic friendship between Jesse Owens and Luz Long, contributions by Paul Newman and Erma Bombeck, and Dorothy Fuldheim's interview with Adolf Hitler.The program includes a Cleveland-style lunch featuring a classic Polish Boy (grilled kielbasa sausage in a bun, loaded with French fries, sweet BBQ sauce, and creamy coleslaw), mac and cheese, and kolaczkis.Presented by Susan Cannavino with Presentations with Pizzazz.Cost: $15.00
