Created in honor of America's 250th anniversary and Akron's bicentennial, the exhibit traces Akron's evolution from canal town to industrial powerhouse through the families who built homes, businesses, communities, and lasting legacies here. From early settlers to recent arrivals, this special exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the people who shaped the city and the ways each of us helps shape our communities today.

    This special performance, commissioned by M.U.S.i.C. Stars in the Classics, celebrates Cleveland's historic Euclid Beach Park. The concert showcases a newly composed suite by award-winning composer Chris Neiner, featuring all four movements.The evening includes original choreography by Antonio Morillo, with dancers Lieneke Matte and Antonio Morillo (both former Ohio Contemporary Ballet members) performing during "Swing a Twist at the Dance Pavilion."Attendees with regular museum admission may enjoy the performance. Early arrivals can ride the restored carousel originally from Euclid Beach Park. The venue offers museum exhibits, wine, and refreshments. Museum admission: $15 adults; $10 children/students.
