Following the Independence Day parade will be the dedication ceremony of a historic Freedom Monument in the Pump House District, a testament to America's founding principle and a lasting symbol of liberty for generations to come.Interested in participating in this historic occasion? We are in need of 250 Ashland County veterans and active duty service men and women to help us make history as we dedicate this space. This commitment will require you to be available from 1:15-3:00pm on July 4, 2026 and to stand for 30-45 minutes.

Light Up the Sky is back for another year of fun! Enjoy a parade, live music, tethered balloon rides, food and drinks, and a firework show to close out the night!

You're invited to the most patriotic birthday party in town! Freer Field will come alive around 5:00 p.m. with live music entertainment, food trailers, a live radio show with area leaders and special guests, and of course the grand finale featuring the largest fireworks display in Ashland County's history! Parking and seating areas will be available onsite.

This year, we are proud to celebrate the United States' semiquincentennial – our 250th birthday – with a special Ohio Homecoming Picnic Initiative in addition to the great activities and fireworks display! Bring your friends, family and your festive spirit, and celebrate freedom and community under the summer sky at Delco Park. Picnic activity kits are available while supplies last for Go 4th! This living history concert celebrates America's 250th birthday by recreating performances from the historic Alliance City Band, which served the community from 1859 until 1992.American Musical Productions presents a 23-piece ensemble conducted by Joseph N. Rubin, featuring musicians in period uniforms performing a program based on a recently discovered July 1926 Alliance City Band program. The 75-minute concert is free and includes beloved band classics.Food trucks and fireworks conclude the evening.In case of rain, the event moves to Alliance High School Auditorium, 400 Glamorgan Street.Presented by: Alliance Historical Society, Alliance Parks and Recreation Department, and American Musical Productions.

Blossom's traditional, star-spangled celebration with the Blossom Festival Band returns with a mix of marches, patriotic favorites, an Armed Forces Salute, and more — concluding with a spectacular fireworks display.Fireworks immediately following the performance, weather permitting.

Local historian Tom Sorosiak will lead this program exploring "the history of Nazareth Hall during its time when it was in operation by the Ursuline Order of the Sacred Hearts." Attendees receive a self-guided museum tour with their ticket.Cost: Free for members; $7 for non-members. Individual membership required for member pricing; members cannot reserve tickets on behalf of non-members.

Just as the Declaration of Independence was read to the people on July 8, 1776, now, 250 years later, Americans in all 50 states, 5 territories, the District of Columbia, and Minor Outlying Islands of the United States will read the Declaration of Independence "together." Join Gaye Gabel at the Milton-Union Public Library as she reads one of our most important documents aloud.

Our Village will be participating in the National reading of the Declaration of Independence for the 250th birthday of the United States of America. Readers will include Police Chief David Patrick, Fire Chief Matthew Bebout, and EMS Chief Steve Castle. We hope you will join us for this historic event!
