COLUMBUS, OHIO — Ohio families are still living with the consequences of Amy Acton‘s COVID failures — and as she runs for Governor, it’s time Ohioans get reacquainted with her record.

While Acton was dictating the rules of Ohioans’ daily lives during COVID, she admitted she was “googling the word pandemic” because she didn’t understand it. Let that sink in: the person who shut down businesses, restricted gatherings, and upended daily life for millions of Ohioans was learning what a pandemic was in real time — from Google.

Ohio families paid the price. Businesses closed, never to reopen. Inflation skyrocketed. Communities were left to pick up the pieces of decisions made by someone who, by her own admission, didn’t know what she was doing. That’s not leadership — that’s recklessness dressed up in authority.

The Ohio Republican Party is putting Ohioans on notice: Amy Acton is the left’s answer to Dr. Fauci, and she’s running to bring that same brand of out-of-touch, unaccountable governance to the Governor’s office. Ohio cannot afford another round of her experiments.

Ohio said no to her COVID edicts. Now it’s time to say NO to a Google Governor.
