COLUMBUS, OHIOJon Husted is going up first in Ohio’s U.S. Senate race — and he’s not pulling any punches.

The Husted campaign just released its first television ad of the cycle, “Never Give Up,” telling Jon’s personal story from foster care to public service — and his record of delivering for Ohio’s working families. The spot highlights Husted’s work expanding career technical education, cutting taxes, and helping bring thousands of new jobs to Ohio.

“I started my life in a foster home, and I know firsthand that where you begin does not have to determine where you end up. Ohio gave me opportunity, and I’ve spent my career working to create that same opportunity for others. In the Senate, I’ll keep fighting to make sure every Ohio family has the chance to succeed and never has to leave our state to build their American dream.” — Jon Husted

The early media buy totals just over $1 million and will begin ahead of the May primary. The ad will run on broadcast television in the Columbus, Cleveland, and Toledo media markets, along with placements on Fox News and streaming platforms.

“After 32 years in Washington, Sherrod Brown had every opportunity to deliver for Ohio. He failed. This November, Ohioans will have a clear choice between the past and the future. Jon Husted is getting an early start by taking his story directly to voters who are ready for a fresh, common-sense approach in Washington.” — Drew Thompson, Husted Campaign Manager
