COLUMBUS, OHIO — One year ago, President Trump and Jon Husted passed the Working Families Tax Cuts — historic legislation to let hardworking Ohioans keep more of what they earned. Sherrod Brown opposed it.
Now, as that anniversary arrives, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is drawing a sharp contrast: while Brown spent 32 years in Washington voting in lockstep with the Biden-Harris administration — supporting taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal aliens and reckless spending that drove inflation to 9% — Jon Husted is delivering lower taxes and higher paychecks for Ohioans.
The NRSC released a new digital ad this week hammering Brown for prioritizing free healthcare for illegal aliens over tax relief for working families. The charge is direct: Brown wants to tax Ohioans’ hard-earned tips, overtime, and Social Security in order to fund government handouts for those in the country illegally.
Said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia, “During his 32 years in Washington, Sherrod Brown voted in lockstep with the Biden-Harris administration, supporting taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal aliens and reckless spending that sent inflation to 9%. While Brown wants to raise taxes to give handouts to illegals, Jon Husted is delivering lower taxes and higher paychecks for Ohioans.”
The contrast couldn’t be clearer. Ohio families work hard for every dollar they earn — on tips, on overtime, and through decades of Social Security contributions. Sherrod Brown’s record is a vote against every one of them.
