COLUMBUS, OHIO — In a matter of days, Vivek Ramaswamy‘s campaign for Governor of Ohio has secured a wave of powerhouse endorsements — from the state’s largest manufacturers’ organization, its largest law enforcement union, and its premier business advocacy group — signaling broad and growing momentum heading into November.
On July 22, 2026, the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association PAC (OMA) — the state’s largest organization advocating exclusively for manufacturers, founded in 1910 — formally endorsed Ramaswamy for Governor. The endorsement followed a rigorous review of the candidates’ positions on energy, workforce, tax, and regulatory policy.
OMA President Ryan Augsburger explained the organization’s decision: “Ohio’s manufacturing strength was built through generations of investment, innovation and hard work, and taking it to the next level will require a governor who understands the impact of policy decisions on the factory floor. Vivek Ramaswamy’s approach to energy, workforce, tax and regulatory policy will further strengthen Ohio’s manufacturing environment so manufacturers can invest, expand and grow jobs in our state. Our members believe his business experience and ability to work with President Trump and his administration make him the candidate best prepared to strengthen Ohio’s product-based economy and compete for the next wave of reshored manufacturing.”
Ramaswamy welcomed the endorsement: “Manufacturing is a cornerstone of Ohio’s economy, employing hundreds of thousands of Ohioans, supporting communities across our state and driving investment, innovation and economic growth. The day prior, on July 21, 2026, the Fraternal Order of Police of Ohio (FOP) — the state’s largest law enforcement union — endorsed Ramaswamy and his running mate, Ohio Senate President Rob McColley, for Governor and Lieutenant Governor. The FOP conducted a rigorous vetting process before making its decision.
Said Ramaswamy of the FOP endorsement, “I am very honored to receive today’s endorsement from the Fraternal Order of Police of Ohio. This is a big deal and a monumental endorsement — from the largest union representing police officers in our state — after they went through a rigorous process with both candidates.
