Ohio has always sent workers to Washington, not talkers. From the farm fields of the Northwest Territory to the factory floors that armed a nation, Ohioans have built their reputation the same way they built everything else. With their hands, their discipline, and their word.

That is the standard Ohio expects from its United States Senator.

In 2026, Ohioans will vote in something rare: the first U.S. Senate special election in Ohio since 1954. The stakes could not be clearer. The winner will finish the term begun by JD Vance, now Vice President of the United States, and carry Ohio’s voice in a Senate that will shape our economy, our border, and our future. That voice belongs to Jon Husted.

An Ohio Story From the Start

Jon Husted’s story is an Ohio story in the truest sense.

He started his life in a foster home before his parents, Jim and Judy, adopted him. He was raised in northwest Ohio’s Williams County, where a small community instilled in him the importance of faith, family, and hard work.

He graduated from Montpelier High School and earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Dayton, where he was an All-American defensive back on the Flyers’ 1989 Division III National Championship football team.

Jon didn’t inherit anything. He earned everything. That is the Ohio way.

Delivering for Ohio

As Lieutenant Governor, Jon Husted created a strong economy, a thriving community, and a pro-business environment Ohioans can rely on.

He was a leader in meaningful regulatory reform, implementing technology, eliminating fraud and waste, and saving millions of taxpayer dollars. He helped bring twenty-first century jobs to Ohio, including Intel’s semiconductor investment, the largest manufacturing deal of its kind in state history.

As Secretary of State and Speaker of the Ohio House, Husted made Ohio the least costly state in the Midwest to start and maintain a business. He led the passage of the most fiscally conservative budget in 40 years while delivering, what was at the time, the largest income tax cut in Ohio’s history.

Through it all, he has been a proven conservative champion for the values Ohio families care about the most. Open for business. Accountable to taxpayers. Grounded in Ohio values. That is the Husted record.

Answering the Call

When JD Vance was elected Vice President, Ohio needed a Senator ready to work on day one.
Governor Mike DeWine appointed Jon Husted to the United States Senate, and he took the oath of office on January 21, 2025. Jon didn’t ask for a transition period. He got to work, voting to secure the border, protect women’s sports, give law enforcement more tools against the fentanyl flooding our communities, and protect children from online predators.

President Trump’s Endorsement

On the day Jon launched his campaign, President Donald J. Trump gave him his Total Endorsement, saying Jon is doing an incredible job and has always delivered for Ohio.

The President knows what Ohio knows. Jon Husted delivers.

Republican Unity in Ohio

Jon has earned the endorsement of the Ohio Republican Party, Ohio Values Voters, and every county Republican party that has issued an endorsement in this race. He won the Republican nomination unopposed.

That is not luck. That is trust, earned by delivering for Ohioans and never taking their support for granted.

Support From Ohio’s Workers

Sherrod Brown spent decades claiming to be the voice of Ohio workers. Ohio workers are saying otherwise.

Jon has pulled multiple union endorsements away from Sherrod Brown, and he earned the backing of the Northwest Ohio Building & Construction Trades Council, representing 18 affiliated local unions and thousands of skilled workers across eight Ohio counties. Ohio’s small businesses and the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association have joined them.

Workers, farmers, and job creators are standing with Jon. Because Jon has always stood with them.

Why We Stand With Jon

The Ohio Republican Party endorsed Jon Husted because Ohio needs a Senator who has already proven he can deliver.

Jon brings the grit of a kid from Williams County, the discipline of a champion, and a record of winning for Ohio at every level. Sherrod Brown had his chance. Ohio moved on.

Jon Husted represents the next chapter of Ohio leadership in Washington, and we are proud to stand with him as he fights for a stronger, safer, more prosperous Ohio.
