Celebrate the Great American Backyard Campout with an evening of outdoor family fun. Enjoy campfire snacks, games, scavenger hunts, nature trivia, kickball, and storytelling.

Bring chairs or camping gear to set the ambiance — though camping overnight is not permitted.

Naturalist-led activities run from 6:30–9:00 PM and include river wading, fish seining, kickball, nature trivia, and campfire stories.

This program commemorates the 250th birthday of the United States while showcasing Wood County’s history and fostering community engagement through outdoor recreation.
