Statement from Chairman Jane Timken on Postponement of Primary Election
COLUMBUS – “Today, Governor Mike DeWine and Secretary of State Frank LaRose made the recommendation to postpone the primary election that was set to be held tomorrow. This tough recommendation was made in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and to ensure the integrity and security of our election. We fully support this recommendation, while knowing how difficult this will be on our candidates and their campaigns. We will work with all parties to assist in disseminating information on the new primary date and the new voting rules associated with this change.”
